Why should I use organic skincare products?
Toxic ingredients found in many skincare products, such as carcinogens and endocrine disruptors, can jeopardize our health. Although the effects of these ingredients will not be immediately evident, cumulative exposure can result in health problems. It’s important to read/understand product labels and find safer alternatives whenever possible. You can’t avoid ALL toxins, ALL the time, but you can at least try to implement small changes to reduce your exposure. Focus on that handful of go-to products, read their labels, and see if there are cleaner alternatives. We’re passionate about using a natural approach whenever possible and about complete ingredient transparency. As a result, you’ll see everything clearly listed on our labels and website.

How much do you donate from each sale?
Since our first product was inspired by wanting to do better for our children, we want to help others do the same. $1 for every product sold will be donated to a non-profit organization serving children and families on an annual basis. No maximum limits. A different non-profit organization will be selected each year. Our focus will be small non-profits doing great things in their communities.

Are all skin care product ingredients certified organic?
All plant-based ingredients are USDA certified organic. Non plant-based ingredients, such as Dead Sea Salt and Moroccan Rhassoul Clay, are 100% natural. 

Do you test on animals?
We do not test on animals and have also verified that none of our individual ingredient suppliers are involved in animal testing. We are part of PETA’s Beauty Without Bunnies Program and all of our products are Cruelty-Free certified. Are your products vegan?
Most of our line is vegan, with the exception of The Y & W Lip & Body Balm. This product contains a small amount of cosmetic grade beeswax from a reputable supplier and is ethically sourced.

I have acne-prone skin, can I still use your serum?
Absolutely! Our serum is multipurpose and formulated for all skin types. It is composed of fast absorbing, deeply nourishing ingredients that have a low comedogenic rating. This means that they will not clog pores and cause breakouts. In addition, the unique combination helps balance sebum production, which in turn leads to less breakouts over time. It also works wonders on previous damage, such as acne scars and hyperpigmentation. Check out our before/after photos on the product page, you won’t be disappointed!

Are your products fragrance-free?
All products are free from synthetic fragrances, however, this does not mean that they are scent-free. We do work with a limited selection of organic essential oils known for their multiple therapeutic benefits and recognized as safe for kids. Since the goal is added benefit (not fragrance strength), they are used at carefully calculated concentrations deemed safe for various age groups. Any scent you experience from our products is 100% natural and comes from the blend of ingredients used.

Can babies use your products? What about pregnant women?
Most of our product line is considered safe across all age ranges, however, there are some exceptions. In general, we do not recommend any products containing essential oils for children under 6 months of age, or for pregnant women, due to safety concerns and lack of research in these populations. Please refer to individual product safety information before using. This restriction only applies to products containing essential oils. Note: Our Lip & Body Balm is completely free of essential oils and ideal for all ages and skin types.

Are the glass containers food safe?
Yes! We worked hard during the research and development phase to find quality containers that would not only do an excellent job preserving our products but also be non-porous and reusable. All of our glass jars are food safe and would make a great snack or lunch container! By the way, the labels are also easy peel without all that junky glue residue left behind. You're welcome = )

Do you offer samples?
Samples are not available at this time. However, we do offer a minis collection featuring travel size items at a special promotional price for customers who need compact versions or for those who want to try our products prior to investing in full size items. What are the other ingredients listed after the essential oils in some of your products?
The ingredients listed after the essential oils in some of our products are not added ingredients, they are part of the essential oil that must be mentioned per European Union (EU) labeling standards due to their allergen potential in some individuals. All essential oils have numerous naturally occurring constituents that make up their unique profile of fragrance/therapeutic benefits. A list of 26 specific ones (which are found in most essential oils), must be listed on all products sold in the EU if the concentration for a leave-on product exceeds 10 parts per million (ppm), or 0.001%. This labeling standard is not common practice in the US, however, we do intend to eventually make our products available worldwide and feel that this information could potentially benefit all clients with known sensitivities.
What is the EWG Skin Deep Database?
The EWG Skin Deep database is a tool developed by the Environmental Working Group to help consumers become informed about the ingredients present in their cosmetics and skin care products. It is a searchable site that pulls information from various toxicology sources to compile an ingredient rating based on research data available. All of our ingredients are rated a number 1, on a scale from 1-10 (from low to high hazard). Have you looked up your current go to products? Give it a try! You might be surprised.

NOTE: The individual constituents listed have higher EWG ratings when used as fragrance additives. We are not adding these as individual ingredients; they are simply naturally occurring aspects of the essential oils. The oils themselves are very gentle, kid safe, and rated a 1 on the EWG Skin Deep Database. Where do you ship to?
We ship to all 50 U.S. states. Plans are in the works for international shipping. If you live outside the U.S. and are interested in our products, please send us a message at support@theyandwlab.com with the subject line: INTERNATIONAL LIST and include your name, preferred email, and location so we can get in touch once the service is available.

Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Our wholesale policy is being developed. If you are interested in purchasing in bulk for a spa or retail outlet, please send us a message at support@theyandwlab.com with the subject line: WHOLESALE INQUIRY and include the following: name, contact information, business website, current retail channels (web, store front, amazon, etc.), plus any additional comments regarding product interest. We will add you to our waiting list.



Free U.S. shipping on orders over $35. Orders under $35 are subject to a $7.95 flat rate standard shipping charge. We begin working on your order as soon as it is received and ship out within 24-48 hours. Orders placed on a Friday will be shipped out on Monday. Packages will be sent via USPS First Class or Priority Mail and on average arrive within 2-5 business days. A tracking number will be provided once the order ships. We are not responsible for missing packages that have been successfully delivered to the address listed on the order. However, if your package is lost in transit (tracking number not showing any movement/updates for more than 72 hours), please contact us so we can investigate and, if needed, issue a prompt replacement.


Due to hygienic reasons and the personal nature of our products, returns are not accepted. However, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase! If you are not satisfied, please send us a message with your order number plus a brief description of the issue and we’ll work hard to make it right.


If items are damaged/broken upon arrival, send us a message within 48 hours of receiving the package so we can arrange for an immediate replacement. Contact us at support@theyandwlab.com with the subject line: DAMAGED GOODS and please include a photo of the damage along with a brief description and your order number.  


Once an order is placed, we begin processing it immediately to ensure prompt delivery. For this reason, we are not able to cancel or make any changes once an order is submitted.
